Lige Anderson McKinney III, 67, died Feb. 16 at Grande Ronde Hospital. Services will begin at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Rivershore Bar and Grill, 1900 Clackamette Drive, Oregon City.
Lige was born Oct. 26, 1942, to Lige Anderson McKinney II and Josephine O. (Logsdon) McKinney in Carus.
He was a superintendent in the paper mill, and was a commissary man in the Navy. When he was stationed on Guam, he was an Enlisted Men's Club cook, and before that he was stationed on the USS Astabula. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and in his younger years he was very active with 4-H.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, of Oregon City; children, Michele McKinney and her husband, Troy Simmons, of Cove and Todd (Irene) McKinney, of Oregon City; brother, William C. McKinney of Redmond; sisters, Bonnie Cogburn of Canby, Mary McKinney of Canby and Jenny Leonard of Utah; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
