Les Brasure, age 49, of La Grande, died Saturday, October 26, 2002 at his home.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 29, 2002 from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Brasure was born on August 17, 1953, the son of Bill and Beverly (McKlin) Brasure in La Grande. Les was a graduate of La Grande High School and he served in the Vietnam War. He married Jennifer Smith on April 15, 1994 in La Grande. He worked for Texaco, was a gas technician for Petrolane, a fuel truck driver for Cenex propane and a journeyman for Safeway of La Grande.
His hobbies included deer and elk hunting, bird hunting, camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Brasure is survived by his wife of eight years, Jennifer; daughters, Ashlee Brasure of La Grande, Amanda Brasure of La Grande and Sharee Irwin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; father, Bill Brasure of La Grande; brothers, Mike Brasure and Steve Brasure of Portland; granddaughter, Natasha Brasure of Albuquerque, New Mexico and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Brasure.
