Larry Evans, age 79, of Missoula, Montana and formerly of La Grande died November 13, 2003. A celebration of his life will be held in the future.
Mr. Evans was born June 29, 1924 to Lawrence Edward and Edna Perryman Evans in La Grande. He attended school in Missoula and Lewistown, Montana and served in the Navy during bother World War II and the Korean War. On February 14, 1950 he married Marian Monaghan.
Mr. Evans worked his entire career in the copper industry, going to work for the Anaconda Company in 1948 and transferring to the Inspiration Copper Company in Miami, Arizona in 1964, where he worked until retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, and spent every summer at Georgetown Lake, Montana until moving to Missoula in 2002.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Vicki Evans of Missoula; three grandchildren and other relatives. His wife, a brother and a sister all died earlier.
