Kenneth Harold Hook, 83, of Elgin, died May 6 at a local care center. A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elgin Cemetery. Casual dress is requested.
Kenneth was born July 19, 1926, in Freedom, Okla., to Archie and Blanche Hook. He was raised and educated in Wallowa. He was drafted into the Army and fought in the Korean War. He also worked in the mill in Wallowa and later retired from the Peacock Lumber Co.
Kenneth married Harlena Boswell and they had three children, Don, Richard and Linda. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Don and Vickie Hook of Sheridan, Richard and Kathy Hook of Elgin and Linda and Don Conzelmann of Elgin; sister, Dorothy Burritt of Baker City; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Loveland Funeral Chapel.
