June "Maria" Dalton

June "Maria" Dalton, age 56, of Elgin, died August 22, 2005 after a long courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elgin Nazarene Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Dalton was born on February 9, 1949 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Grant and Eliza Beth (Tingey) Grover. She was raised in Roy, Utah and lived most of her adult life in Oregon. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, counter cross stitch, riding four-wheelers and working in her flower and rose beds. She loved the Indian Culture.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Dalton of Elgin; son & daughter-in-law, Michael and Misty Bennett of Heppner, Oregon; daughter, Tonya Wallace; four grandchildren; step-father, John R. Terry of Roy, Utah; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Gary Moore of Malad, Idaho; brother, David Grover of Fairview, Utah and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Carolyn.
