Judith "Judy" G. Potts

Judith G. "Judy" Potts, 63, of Hermiston, died January 17, 2006 at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Washington. A celebration of life service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.

She was born May 10, 1942 in La Grande to Lester and Frances Comstock Peterman. She was raised in Cove and La Grande, graduating from La Grande High School. She then attended Eastern Oregon University where she earned an associate degree in business. Judy moved to the Los Angeles area for a time before relocating to Aloha in 1968. She then returned to La Grande in 1971. In 1980 she moved to Hermiston, where she has lived since. Judy worked as a lab technician for Lamb Weston in Boardman from 1980 until her retirement in 2002.

She attended the Hermiston Christian Church Center. Judy enjoyed baseball, watching sports (especially the Mariners), going to the coast, camping, having coffee with her friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Steven Potts and his wife, Kerri, of Umatilla and three grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
