Juanita Ione Moran

Juanita Ione Moran, age 91 of La Grande, died Monday, January 23, 2006 at her home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley. A private interment will be held at the Hillcrest East Cemetery.

Juanita Ione Moran was born on November 9, 1914, the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Goodrich) Albee in Forest Grove, Oregon. She attended schools in Washington and later graduated. On August 9, 1937, Juanita married Harry R. Moran in Snohomish, Washington. Together the couple later served as missionaries on the Navaho reservation in Arizona. She enjoyed playing music at nursing homes, sewing, beed working and loved to read scripture.

Survivors include her son and his spouse, Harry and Marie Moran, Jr. of Arizona; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband Harry Moran all preceded her in death.
