Josefina Salvadora Aldrich

August 6, 1915 — July 15, 2004

Josefina "Josie" Aldrich of Union, died Thursday, July 15, 2004 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley with Father Hank Albrecht of Our Lady Valley Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Haines Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Josie was born August 6, 1915 to Manuel and Rafaela Couvertier in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She married Frank Aldrich on November 17, 1951 in New York City, Frank died in 2001. She lived in Spain and New York before settling in Union in 1951. She was a homemaker, belonged to the ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She loved to sew, crochet, knit, her flowers but mainly she loved her family.

Survivors include her daughters and their spouses, Dora and John Willcuts of Fontana, California, Elsa and Tom Bianco of Mesa, Arizona and Mary and Glen Aldrich of Union; twelve grandchildren, Perry, Jack, Steve, Glenda, Paul, Sylvia, Lisette, Tom Jr., Lori, Kathy, Brenda; twenty five great-grandchildren, Justin, Chris, Teresa, Jessica Anne, Sarah, Becky, Amanda, Kimberly, Heath, Brett, Carly, Dylan, Andrea, Jason, Alisha, Liza, Jessica, Kirby, Olivia, Nathalie, Belle, Jenna, Mellie, Rory; eleven great great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Taylor Faith, Dorothe, Jaiden, Monica, Cristina, Marissa, Michael, Thalia, Taylor J., Ashley; numerous nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. Two sisters and two brothers, one grandchild, Vicki and one great-grandchild Faith preceded her in death.
