John Carey Kirkpatrick

John Carey Kirkpatrick, age 58 of Elgin, died Thursday, February 16, 2006 at his home. No services will be held at this time. Interment will be held in Oakland, Minnesota. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.



John Carey Kirkpatrick was born on April 28, 1947, the son of Homer and Irene (Hayes) Kirkpatrick in Austin, Minnesota. At an early John and his family moved to La Grande where he attended school and later graduated from La Grande High School. He was employed with Boise Cascade and worked in Elgin. John enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hunting.



Survivors include his sisters, Carol Veach of Los Angeles, California, Ruth Alma of Pendleton, Oregon and other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
