John Clymer & Joanne Druist

A memorial service for John Clymer and Joanne Druist will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Loveland Funeral Chapel.

John Clymer, 67, died Feb. 25th in Portland. He married Joanne Druist in 1972 in South Euclid, Ohio. The couple moved to La Grande in 1990 where he worked for the La Grande City Planning Department until his retirement.

Joanne Druist, 64, died Sept. 8, 2004 in La Grande. She worked as a physical therapist at Grande Ronde Hospital until her retirement and volunteered at the hospital, at Veterans' Memorial Pool and other places.

Both were buried in Dallas, Texas.

survivors include Clymer's mother, Ida Townsen of La Grande, and a brother, James Clymer of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and Druist's brother, George Druist of Freehold, N.J., and a sister, Margaret Ludwig of Bay Village, Ohio.
