Joan Ellen Lauricella

Joan Ellen Lauricella, 76, of Elgin, died April 19 at a local care center. A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Elgin Cemetery.

Joan was born Oct. 24, 1933, to Alfred and Rose (Trembley) Page in New York state. She moved here from Martinez, Calif., over 30 years ago.

She was raised and educated in Oakland, Calif. She loved to play cards and other games like cribbage, Skip Bo and Uno. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, doll collecting, traveling, camping and most especially spending time with family. She was a member of the Eagles Club, Good Sams, Lions and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas of Elgin; children, Doug Jr. and his wife, Marisela Lauricella, of Portland, Kim Marie Lauricella of Elgin, Bruce Wayne and his wife, LaDonna Lauricella, of Elgin and Teri and her husband, Christopher Jones, of Pendleton; siblings, Barbara Mitrick and Pat Mitrick of Auburn, Calif., and Ron Page of Nampa, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Carlton and David Page.

Memorial contributions may be made to Loveland Funeral Chapel to help defray expenses.
