Jo Leah Morgan, 82, of Union, died Feb. 11 at Eagle Springs Memory Care Facility at College Place, Wash.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. May 29 at the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show Clubhouse in Union.
Jo was born Oct. 1, 1927, to Lola and Ray Stinnett in Garrison, Mo. She moved to Selah, Wash., with her family as a teenager and graduated from Selah High School. She was the oldest of nine siblings and spent much of her youth caring for younger siblings and working on the family ranch in Selah. After graduating from high school, she married Robert Tibbling and had three children. They later divorced. She then met and married Robert Morgan. Jo and Bob moved to Union in 1973 where they ran the Union Tavern and Grille until they retired in 2004.
Jo loved spending time with her family and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many nights, she spent time with her grandkids at home where they watched movies and ate pizza from the restaurant. She was a fixture behind the bar for many years in Union serving great hamburgers, cold beverages and engaging in friendly conversation with all who entered the establishment.
Jo is survived by her three children, Scott Tibbling of Walla Walla, Wash., Robb Tibbling of New Britain, Conn., and Nancy Boslau of La Grande; five siblings; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; granddaughter, Taedra Byassee; and three siblings.
