Jerry D. Arnoldus

September 2, 1934 — April 25, 2010

Jerry D. Arnoldus, 75, of La Grande, died April 25 at Grande Ronde Hospital.

A celebration of life service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Summerville Cemetery Chapel.
Jerry was born Sept. 2, 1934, to Stanley and Marie West Arnoldus in La Grande.

Jerry graduated from La Grande High School in 1953 and went on to business college. He served in the Marine Corps from 1954-1956. He was proud to be a Marine.

In 1959 he married Barbara Horn in Nyssa. They had two daughters. He owned the A&B Husky Truck Stop in La Grande. He retired in 1980.

In 1981 he married Jan Flanders in Reno. They were together for 29 years.

Jerry was a member of the American Legion, Elks, Eagles, Disabled American Veterans, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Scottish Rite, La Grande Lodge 41 and Shriners International.

Jerry enjoyed stained glass, pool, fishing, Sudoku and old cars.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Kelly Arnoldus-McAllister and her husband, Mike, of Bend, Kathy Curtis of La Grande and Kristen Adamson and her husband, Shawn, of Middleton, Idaho; and four grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners or the Paralyzed Veterans of America in care of Loveland Funeral Chapel.
