Jeannette Johnson

Jeannette Johnson, age 89, of La Grande and formerly of Orange County, California, died Saturday, June 11, 2005 at a local care facility. At her request there will be no public services.

Mrs. Johnson was born on February 3, 1916 in Springfield, Oregon. In 1948 she married William Lewis Johnson in the San Francisco Bay Area. They lived in Orange County and he preceded her in death in 1990. In late 1991 she moved to La Grande to be near family. She enjoyed raising her children and was an avid reader.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Colleen Johnson of La Grande; grandchildren, Sam Johnson and Nick Johnson, both of Orange County, California; and other relatives and friends. A son, Michael Johnson and three sisters preceded her in death.
