Jean Ann Dixon

Jean Ann Dixon, age 95, a long time La Grande resident, died, May 21, 2006 at her home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Jean Ann Dixon was born on December 30, 1910, the daughter of James M. and Jessie (Payne) Murray in Tacoma, Washington. She worked for 10 years as a medical secretary at the La Grande Clinic and later worked as the secretary for the manager at Boise Cascade Particleboard Plant until her retirement. Jean was a woman of wit and wisdom. Her sense of humor delighted everyone and her warmth encouraged many who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Anne Murray of Madison, Connecticut; three grandchildren, Wendy Moffat, Gabriel Moffat and James Kuhn; five great-grandchildren, Lucy Kaufman, Emma Kaufman, Devon Moffat, Sydney Moffat, Kelci Moffat and other relatives and friends. Her parents and her husband, Carl Dixon all preceded her in death.
