James L. Jensen

James L. Jensen age 64, of Summerville, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in La Grande. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

James L. Jensen was born on February 7, 1940 the son of Charles and Lucille (Rasmussen) Grimm in Chicago, Illinois. James attended schools in Chicago and in 1957 he met and married Shirley Hayes in Chicago, Illinois. The couple would later divorce and James remarried. Seven years later James divorced and reunited with Shirley and the couple later moved to Summerville. He enjoyed camping, his dog "Rocky" and most of all spending time with Shirley.

Survivors include his wife Shirley Jensen of Summerville, children and their spouses, Kathy and Robert Alee of Long Beach, California, James and Hilda Jensen of Indiana and Mike Jensen of Los Angeles, California; three grandchildren; ex-wife Adele Jensen of Los Angeles, California; brother Calvin Grimm of Chicago, Illinois and other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
