Jacqueline Lee Johnson Peart, 71 of Imnaha died Feb. 15 in La Grande.
A memorial service is planned for 11:30 a.m. March 5 at the Imnaha Community Church. The Funeral was held Feb. 19 at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Portland.
Mrs. Peart was born Feb. 17, 1933 in Salem. She moved to Imnaha from Portland three years ago, and married James Peart in 2003.
Her column, "Tales of Imnaha Canyon", appeared in the Chieftain from February to October 2004, and in December her column "Imnaha Canyon Then and Now" began appearing in The Observer.
Her children and grandchildren will write her final Imnaha column, to be published in The Observer March 1.
Survivors include her husband; children, Steve Plog, Laurie Woolery and Dale Plog; her mother Marian Johnson, a brother, Robert Johnson, a sister, Geri Hallisey, and four grandchildren.
Her first husband, Carl Plog, died earlier.
