Irene A. Robertson

Irene A. Robertson, age 96, of La Grande, died Monday, March 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Viewing will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street in La Grande. A funeral will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Daniels~Knopp. Interment will follow at the Island City Cemetery.



Irene was born on April 27, 1919, the daughter of John and Ailie Irene Kuisti in Enaville, Idaho. On April 3, 1945 she married Edward Raymond Robertson in Spokane, Washington. She and Edward made their home in La Grande. She was a supporter of Feed the Children, enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, singing and dancing in church and loved spending time with her family.



Survivors include her husband, Edward of La Grande; children, Jeff Robertson of Portland, Julie Gribling of La Grande and Judy Springer of Pasco, Washington; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by sister, Esther Dodson and brother Harold Kuisti.
