Helen Florence Wilson

Helen Florence Wilson, 88, of Vancouver, Wash., and formerly of Summerville died Aug. 1 at a Portland hospital. A celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m. Aug. 13 at the Laurelwood Baptist Church in Vancouver, Wash.

Mrs. Wilson was born April 2, 1917, in Greeley, Colo. She attended school in Delta, Colo., and married Doyle "Doc" Wilson on May 31, 1936.

They lived in Summerville from 1948 to 1962. She was a homemaker and an accomplished choir director and organist. She was a member of Laurelwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of Vanco0uver, children Michael Wilson of Milwaukie, and Janice Lund of Salem; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mildred Peterson and Lorraine Valentine, both of Baker City, Bernadine Nichols of Sweet Home and Fern Beck of Portland
