Harry Leo Peterson

February 17, 1933 — May 28, 2006

Harry Leo Peterson, 73, of La Grande died May 28 at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla. At his request there will be no services.

Mr. Peterson was born Feb. 17, 1933, to Harry and Lilie Mae Nicholson Peterson in Mountain Grove, Mo. He attended school in Visalia, Calif., and went on to electronic school in Los Angeles, Calif. On June 6, 1957, he married Mary Ford in Las Vegas, Nev. He worked in television electronics and then as a supervisor with USA Petroleum Corp., retiring in about 1977.

The couple moved to La Grande in 1996 from Oklahoma. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and enjoyed building and selling tricycles. He traveled all around with friends from the Third Wheel Trike Association.

Survivors include his wife of La Grande; children and their spouses, Susan and Howard Moody of Exeter, Calif., Janice Peterson of Canada, Ron and Elaine Peterson of Georgetown, Idaho, Randy Peterson of Exeter, and James Peterson of Tulare, Calif.; three sisters, LaWona Lee of Exeter, Vivian Prater of Wickenberg, Ariz., and Donna Sue Anderson of Arizona City, Ariz.; five grandchildren and other relatives.
