Gordon O. "Gordy'' Gorham, 44, formerly of North Powder, died March 3 in Hermiston. A celebration gathering will be held on Memorial Day weekend in Union.

Gordon was born Dec. 9, 1966, in Baker City to Gordon and Barbara Brown Gorham.
Gordy was raised in North Powder where he enjoyed baseball, football, basketball and track. He graduated from North Powder High School in 1985.
Gordy joined the job corps in White Swan, Wash. He worked for Albertsons Grocery in Baker City for a time and moved to Pendleton in 2001. Gordy moved to Hermiston in 2005 and worked as an in-home caregiver.
He enjoyed hunting, music, fishing, camping and telling stories.
He is survived by his daughter, Keshia Simonis of North Powder; stepfather, Larry Brown of Hermiston; grandmothers, Edith Flower of Irrigon and Lucille Gorham of La Grande; sister, Lynne McCormick of Culver; brother, Brandon Brown of Hermiston; and two granddaughters.
Gordy was preceded in death by his parents.
