Glennis Dean Mcbride

December 16, 1938 — September 6, 2004

Glennis Dean McBride, age 65, of Summerville, died Monday, September 6, 2004 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley with the Rev. Eddie Stedtfeld officiating. Committal and interment will follow at the Summerville Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. McBride was born on December 16, 1938, the daughter of Oval and Delpha (Graham) Revels in Newhall, California. She was raised in Commerce, Oklahoma. In 1954 she married Don McBride in Wilder, Idaho. They moved to Union County shortly after they married and she was a farm wife and wonderful mother. She also drove school bus in Imbler and drove truck for Royes Farms. She enjoyed camping, fishing, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed yard saling, traveling and visiting friends. She was an excellent cook and loved music. She played the piano, organ, guitar and loved to sing. Her husband preceded her in death on July 17, 1992.

Survivors include her children, Don & Debbie McBride of Imbler, Tony & Cheryl McBride of Maple Valley, Washington and Oval & Marilyn McBride of Baker City; companion, Bob Wolfe of Summerville; step-children, J.D. & Christi Wolfe and Heath & Sherry Wolfe, all of La Grande; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Oval Eugene Revels Jr. of Springfield; sister and brother-in-law, Ova & Charlie Washington of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-mother and her husband, Wanda & Bill Vanderpool of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and other relatives and friends. Her daughter, Wanda Stedtfeld preceded her in death.
