Glendon Elwin Berry

Glendon Elwin Berry, 71, of La Grande, died Sept. 21 at Grande Ronde Hospital. A celebration of life is planned for Oct. 17 at the American Legion Hall in La Grande.

Glendon was born Dec. 27, 1937, in La Grande to Merton and Golda (Beck) Berry. He married Eileen Donahoe in Lincoln, Neb. He served with the 9th Army Engr. Battalion, and moved from Lincoln to La Grande in 1999 to be closer to his family. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, playing pool and working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughter, Angelina of La Grande; sons, Troy and his wife, Barb, of Lincoln, and James Lengenfilder of Germany; brothers, Bob and his wife, Carol Berry, of Moose Pass, Alaska, Donald and his wife, Bonnee Berry, of La Grande and Wes and his wife, Teri Berry, of La Grande; and sisters, Thelma See of La Grande and Maxine and her husband, Vic Shinsel, of La Grande.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond; and infant sister, Luella Mae.
