Glen Leroy Nantz

March 23, 1933 — March 17, 2006

Glen Leroy Nantz, 72, who was born and raised in North Powder, died March 17, 2006 in Mountain Grove, MO. Services will be held Monday in mountain Grove with Buzz Brown of Elk Creek Church officiating. Mr. Nantz was born March 23, 1933. On December 19, 1963 he married Rosanne Montgomery, who survives in Mountain Grove. He worked as a logger and for the Union County Road Department in La Grande. He had an auction service in North Powder and a store in Stanfield before moving to Missouri.

He served in Korea, where he received the Purple Heart and other commendations. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved to restore and refinish antiques. He was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend to many who will miss him. In addition to his wife survivors include his son, Kurt, and daughter-in-law, Marvalie of Hollister, MO, daughter, CAndi Linkenauger of Ava, MO; brother, Allen and his wife, Claudeen of North Powder; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Percy Pearl nantz, brother, Jasper and two sisters, Bessie and Daisey.
