Glen Orville Doud

Glen Orville Doud, age 91, of La Grande, died Thursday, October 6, 2005, at a local care facility. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Summerville Cemetery.

Mr. Doud was born on October 6, 1914, the son of Ira and Elpha (Downing) Doud in Farry, Oklahoma. He served with the United States Army during World War II. On March 11, 1944 he married Wanda G. Hays in Pendleton, Oregon. They lived in Milton-Freewater from 1948 until 1955 when they moved to Elgin. He worked in lumber mills until his retirement and enjoyed hunting. They moved to La Grande in 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Doud of La Grande; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Doud of North Powder; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Archie, Charles and Amos.

Memorials may be made to the GRH Hospice in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon 97850.
