Gladys "Charlee" Hunter, 60, of East Wenatchee, Wash., and formerly of La Grande, died July 30 at her home. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1011 S. Miller St. in Wenatchee.
Gladys was born and raised in La Grande.
Those who knew Charlee say she was a great flower gardener. They say she was artistic - she decorated her home, the school and her church. Charlee loved dogs.
Survivors include her parents, Don and Betty Proffitt of La Grande; two daughters, Christina and her husband, Joe McNeill of Fossil and Janie and her husband, Chris Motichka, of Columbia Falls, Mont.; one grandson; two granddaughters; brother, Mackie and his wife, Wendy Stewart of La Grande; sisters, Terry and her husband, Curt Ellson, of Newberg, Sharil and her husband, Roger Houston, of McMinnville and Gerry Ann and her husband, Merrill Powell, of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.
