Geraldine "Geri" Richards Warnstaff

Geraldine "Geri" Richards Warnstaff of Sacramento, California and formerly of Cove and La Grande, died September 15, 2003. At her request there will be no service. Sierra View Crematory in Carmichael, California is in charge of arrangements

Mrs. Warnstaff was born November 4, 1928, to Clarence David and Connie Blanche Houx Richards in Cove. She lived in Cove and La Grande until 1958 and married Dale Warnstaff who served in the Air Force in Oregon, Texas, New Mexico, New Hampshire and California. The couple later divorced. She worked as a manager for the Pacific Telephone Co., and served as president of Sabin Chapter 29 of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos, supporting her favorite sports teams, gardening, needlecraft, puzzles, acquiring collectibles and playing golf.

Survivors include her children, Tess Gordon, Lynn Warnstaff and Heidi Dyson and Ty Warnstaff, all of Carmichael and Juana Compton of Sacramento, California; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings, Cecil Richards of Gautier, Mississippi and Deleva Richards of La Grande. A sister, Gladys Puckett and a brother, J.C. Richards, both of Cove, died earlier.
