Gerald Lee Roberts

Gerald Lee Roberts, age 62, of La Grande, died May 6, 2004 while camping in the mountains near Hereford. There will be no public services. Those who wish may make contributions in his memory to the charity of one's choice. Please leave condolences on-line for the family at www.danielschapel.com.

Gerald was born on October 29, 1941 in La Grande to Jesse and Maurine (Baker) Roberts. He graduated from high school in Milton Freewater and on June 6, 1963 he married Billie K. Wilson in Wallowa. He worked for Boise Cascade until his retirement three years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the mountains, hunting and mining. He loved spending time with his children and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Billie of La Grande; sons and their wives, Jesse and Yvonne Roberts of Union, Troy Roberts of La Grande and Ladd and Wendy Roberts of Union; grandchildren, Brooke, Jordann, Nicole, Carsyn and Hannah; brothers, Greg Roberts of Pendleton and Danny Roberts of Port Angeles, Washington; sister, Judy Heller of Hillsboro and other relatives and friends.
