Garland L. Messick

Garland L. "Cal" Messick, 61, of Union died February 19, 2006 at his home of natural causes.

A celebration of life will begin at 2 pm Thursday at the Church of Christ, 2107 Gekeler Lane.

Mr. Messick was born October 30, 1944, to Allie and Mary Farnsworth Messick in Salinas, California. He served in the Air Force and on November 11, 1972 married Juanita Corn in Carson City, Nevada. He enjoyed golf, old cars, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed helping out at the church with food service.

Survivors include his wife of Union; a step-son, Ronald Austin of Federal Way, Washington; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters died earlier.
