Fred Peter Hodgson

Fred Peter Hodgson, age 43 of Umatilla and formerly of North Powder died Thursday, February 3, 2005 in Richland, Washington of natural causes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the North Powder Community Church in North Powder with Pastor Roger Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at the North Powder Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 6p.m. until 8p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon.

Fred Peter Hodgson was born on January 28, 1962, the son on Fredrick and Phyllis (Peters) Hodgson in Sacramento, California. In the summer of 1969 the family moved to North Powder where Fred attended school. He graduated from North Powder High School with the class of 1980. After high school Fred attended Eastern Oregon University where he received a bachelor's degree in business and arts and specialized in accounting. Fred worked in Weiser, Idaho, and Salem, Oregon before settling in the Umatilla area where he worked for Con-Agra Foods Inc. in Boardman for fifteen years. He was a past member of the Hermiston Lutheran Church. He enjoyed helping others, video games, computers, golf, hockey and loved to travel.


Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Hodgson of La Grande, Oregon; brothers and their spouses, Ross and Sue Hodgson of Union, Oregon, Mark Hodgson of La Grande, Oregon and Tom Hodgson of North Powder, Oregon; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Hodgson.
