Frank David Anderson

Frank David Anderson, 72, of La Grande died April 26, 2005 at his home.

A celebration of life potluck will begin at 1 pm on May 7 at 1319 Empire Drive in La Grande. A memorial service with military honors for Frank Anderson will begin a 1 p.m. Wednesday at Loveland Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Anderson was born in 1933 to James and Mildred Lee Anderson in Alabama. He grew up on the Oklahoma Indian Reservation and served in the Army in Korea from 1950 to 1953. On September 10, 1955 he married Billie Stone. They settled in Milton-Freewater on a small farm from 1963 to 1975 when they moved to La Grande. He worked as a logger and welder. He loved the mountains and his family and was supportive of Native American tradition and culture.

Survivors include his wife; children and their spouses, Frankie and Sandi Anderson of La Grande, Anna Lee Anderson & Curtis Perkins of Weston; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
