Frances Ann Robinson

April 24, 1938 — March 30, 2018

Frances Ann Robinson, age 79, of Evansdale, Iowa and formerly of Imbler died March 30, 2018 at the hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street in La Grande.  Interment will follow at the Summerville Cemetery.  Those who wish may make contributions in her memory to the charity of one's choice.

Frances was born on April 24, 1938, the daughter of Clarence and Geneva Hallgarth in Imbler, Oregon.  The family moved to Elgin where she graduated High School.   On November 5, 1954 she married Jack Robinson in Elgin.  She worked as a secretary at the Grande Ronde Hospital, Blue Mtn. Seed and St. Peter's Episcopal Church.  They were active in the Elgin Nazarene Church.  She was a member of the Blue Mtn. Chapter OES in Elgin.  Her husband, Jack, preceded her in death on April 24, 1997.  After his death she met Richard Larrew from Iowa.  He became her companion and in 2001 they moved to Evansdale, Iowa.  She enjoyed crocheting, making all of the family and friends baby blankets.  She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her garden and going to the family cabin.  She enjoyed playing hand games and loved her grandchildren, going to church and her poodles.

Survivors include her companion, Richard Larrew of Evansdale, Iowa; children Charles and Denise Robinson of La Grande, Jackie and Rod  Toy of Perry and Susan Smith and Gary Baldwin of La Grande; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Seth Robinson.
