Frances Mary Lenon, 84, of La Grande, died Sept. 1 at her home with her family by her side.
Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Loveland Funeral Chapel. Funeral service with Mass will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church of La Grande. Interment will be at Hillcrest East Cemetery. There will be a reception at the Catholic Church following the graveside service. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Frances was born Sept. 25, 1925, at Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Emry and Mary (Martell) Meunier. On Jan. 11, 1945, she married to Floyd L. Lenon at Twin Falls. They lived in Twin Falls, Pasco and La Grande, where she was known as a hardworking, successful business woman, owning and operating restaurants with her husband.
Frances enjoyed cooking, quilting and gardening. She was an antique collector and loved to play cards and golf. However, her greatest love was her family.
Frances was a devout member of the Catholic Church and a volunteer in the Altar Society and the Emblem Club. She was also a volunteer at the La Grande Senior Center.
Surviving are her children, Mikel Lenon of Kennewick; Kristine Still, Larry Lenon and Tony Lenon, all of La Grande; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; and her son, Tim Lenon Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Church of La Grande
