Faye Ella Frayer, age 84, of La Grande died Sunday at a local care facility. Viewing will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Loveland Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the First Christian Church. Burial will follow at the Summerville Cemetery.
Mrs. Frayer was born July 20, 1920, to Irvin and Martha Roberts Cunningham in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. On October 16, 1941, she married Charles R. Frayer. She came to La Grande in 1960 and worked at Grande Ronde Hospital for over 15 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and Bible study.
Survivors include children, Charles Frayer, Jr. of Troutdale, Marian McKinney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cindy Teague of Auburn, Georgia and Lindy Knape of Island City; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and three siblings, Joe Cunningham of Oklahoma City, MaryJane Speck of Oklahoma City and Jerry Campbell of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Her husband, three brothers, Clarence, Woody and Irvin Cunningham and a sister, Flossie Wisley all died earlier. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Janet Williams Adult Foster Home.
