Everdine Helen Miller

Everdine Helen Miller, age 95, of Cove died May 1, 2016 at a local care faculty. A funeral will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Interment will be at the Cove Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions in her memory to the Blue Mtn. Humane Association in care of Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.

Evie was born on January 19, 1921 in Wisconsin where she was raised, but after marrying an Air Force Pilot she embraced military life with all of its traditions and ceremonies. Moving from base to base gave her the opportunity to experience many areas in the United States and England.

Evie was not one to be idle and filled her spare time with baking, knitting, needlepoint and gardening. She excelled in all of her hobbies, however, baking was #1 with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Evie would always have cookies for them. Watching the children play always brought a smile to her face.

While Evie loved all of the family activities, her chosen path was to be a registered nurse. She loved working at the Grande Ronde Hospital until it was time to retire. Evie was a gracious lady, setting a lovely example for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Survivors include his children, John, Andrew (Colonel USAF Ret) with wife Pam, Fred and Anne Givens; 9 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
