Evelyn M. Wood

Evelyn M. Wood, age 86, of Cove died September 9, 2004 at a local care center. Private burial will be in the Cove Cemetery.

Mrs. Wood was born October 6, 1917, to Hugo and Pearl Williams Blank in Jefferson, Wisconsin. She attended school in La Grande and Cove, and on May 23, 1939, she married Carl Wood in Weiser, Idaho. They lived in Cove where she was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of Cove; a daughter and son-in-law, LaWanda and Doug Laing of Cove; a brother, Harold Blank of Cove, two grandchildren and on great grandchild. Two sisters and brother died earlier.

Memorials may be made to the Cove Quick Response Team or the Blue Mountain Humane Association.
