Eugene Richard Power

Eugene Richard Power, age 78, of Summerville, died October 22, 2006 at a foster care facility. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Summerville Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Power was born on March 25, 1928 to Mason E. and Lennett E. (Moorlock) Power in California. He had a brain disorder from the age of seven but loved to collect various belt buckles, play baseball with his brothers, eating candy and bowling. He was bat boy for his brother's team. He attended the Summerville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother, Thomas Power of Fallon, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert Power, Cecil Power and Emmitt Power and three sisters, Sara E. Alexander, Lucille Abbott and Nora Ann Dusi.
