Esther Grace Wade

Esther Grace Wade, age 93, of Milwaukie and formerly of Elgin, died October 5, 2004. Mrs. Wade was born Esther Grace Wheeler on June 18, 1911, in Hammond, Indiana. The family moved to Baker City and then to Elgin. She married Francis Wade in 1943 and they farmed for many years. The couple were later divorced. She traveled and lived in Costa Rica for five years and lived in the Portland area for the last 30 years.

Survivors include her children, Betty Carol DeVore, Beverly Gordon, Dennis Wade anad Bonita Scheese; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
