Emma Rose Parker

Emma Rose Parker was born and is at peace on November 28, 2006. She quietly passed away from complications of Edwards Syndrome (trisomy 18). She was the daughter of Chuck and Theresa Parker and sister of Caden and Logan Parker. She had a large extended family that included her Grandfather, Robert Wilkins of La Grande, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She took her last breath cradled in her Mother's arms and surrounded by her family. We are all thankful for the lessons of beauty, grace and unconditional love learned through her in such a short time. We were lucky to have known her and felt humbled to have been in her presence.

Her parents are deeply grateful to Dr. Mark Tomlinson, Linda Campbell and all of the special people at the NW Perinatal Center. We would also like to thank the doctors and staff of St. Vincent's Hospital; Molly Murdock and especially Delivery Nurse Kristin Storey for the quiet dignity she displayed through her hours of tireless care. A special thanks to Kim Campbell and Francisco Salgado of the Campbell Salgado Studio for their touching photos of our little angel.

A private memorial celebration for Emma was held at the Riverview Cemetery on December 2, 2006. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation for the Neonatal Fund in care of the Emma Rose Parker Memorial Fund, 9205 SW Barnes Road, Portland, Oregon 97225.
