Eloise Frances Ingerson

December 4, 1918 — July 7, 2005

Eloise Frances Ingerson, age 86 of La Grande, died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at her home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Vernon Slippy of the Grande Ronde Community Church officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Eloise Frances Ingerson was born on December 4, 1918, the daughter of Ed and Helen (Dodson) Davis in La Grande, Oregon. She was a lifetime resident of the Grande Ronde Valley and attended Riveria School and later graduated with the La Grande High School Class of 1936. On December 11, 1937, Eloise married James Ingerson in La Grande and remained married for 61 years. James preceded her in death on October 9, 1999. Mrs. Ingerson was a homemaker and assisted her husband with his contracting business and their rental property for many years. She always did what needed to be done and will be remembered as a hard worker and a great pie maker. Mrs. Ingerson was a past member of the Woman's Benefit Association. She enjoyed her garden and flowers, the outdoors, fishing, camping, traveling, sewing and most of all spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Survivors include her children; Jerry Ingerson and Nancy and son-in-law Greg Blackman all of La Grande; seven grandchildren, Joanne Chinn, Brenda Bell, Stacy Blackman, Greg Blackman, Jr., Kevin Ingerson, Steven Ingerson and Kyle Ingerson.; seven great-grandchildren; Ashley Chinn, Brianna Chinn, Cami Bell, Cally Bell, Brandy Blackman, Greg Blackman III and Logan Ingerson and other relatives and friends. Her parents; husband, James Ingerson; sisters Elma Woodard, Florence Dial, Aglah Meredith, Billie Jean Peach and a brother Eldon Davis all preceded her in death.
