Ellen Arlene Keller

Ellen Arlene Keller, age 66 of La Grande, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 at her home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Steve Kirkeby of Valley Fellowship officiating. Viewing will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon.

Ellen Arlene Keller was born on March 13, 1939, the daughter of Bert and Ethel (Donavon) Herron in La Grande. She attended school in La Grande and after graduating from high school she met and married Gary Keller on July 3, 1958 in La Grande. She was a devoted homemaker who was kind in spirit and was always willing to help those in need. Mrs. Keller was a member of the La Grande Eagles Lodge where she loved to play bingo. She also enjoyed volunteering her time with the girl scouts, playing cards, watching stock car races, spending time at her families cabin, and working in her yard with her flowers.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Keller of La Grande; children, Christy Morrison, John and daughter-in-law, Becky Keller and Eric Keller all of La Grande; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Ida Mc Elvain of La Grande, Oregon and Doris Mc Clareon of Pilot Rock, Oregon and other relatives and friends. Her parents, brothers, George Herron, Frank Herron, Jim Herron and Ray Herron all preceded her in death.
