Eldon Dolph Thompson

March 31, 1917 — February 20, 2005

Eldon Dolph Thompson, 87 of Nampa, Idaho and formerly of La Grande died Feb. 20. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Weston Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson was born March 31, 1917 to Dolph J. and Myrtle M. Hyatt Thompson in Weston. The family moved to Gibbon where they had a grocery store and raised cattle. He worked for the Railroad and on Jan. 3. 1946, married Ethel. The couple lived in Pendleton, Pilot Rock, La
Grande and Portland before moving to Idaho where he lived in Nampa and Kuna. He retired in 1973. He enjoyed sports, especially football and baseball.

Survivors include his wife of Nampa; daughters and their husbands, Dixie and Vern Neueman of Caldwell, Idaho, Tessa and Harry Williams of Baker City and Judi and Robert Carlisle of San Diego; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; six great-grandchildren and other relatives.
