Eldon "Curly" Emery Millman

Eldon Emery "Curly" Millman, 83, of La Grande and formerly of Cove, died Feb. 9. A celebration of life graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cove Cemetery.

Curly was born Sept. 9, 1926, to Emery and Doris Millman in Cove. He married Eddith (Ike) Davis on Oct. 30, 1942, in Weiser, Idaho. Curly loved to fish, spend time in the mountains and enjoyed watching all the logging trucks going by. He was a WWII veteran with the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his sister, Patty Jackson of Alaska; children, Peggy and her husband, Bill Reed, of Union, Pug and his wife, Connie Millman, of Fruitland, Idaho, Pepper Huffman of Baker and Moe Millman of Salmon, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Curly was preceded in death by his wife, Eddith; two sisters, Opal and Lottie; and a brother, Gene.
