Edward "Bill" William Roben

Edward William "Bill" Roben, 63, of La Grande, died Oct. 21 at Grande Ronde Hospital.

At his request there will be no viewing or formal funeral service.

Bill was born Oct. 30, 1944, to Evelyn (Hagey) Wagoner and Edward Roben in St. Joseph Hospital in Longview, Wash. He attended grade school in Milwaukie and junior high and high school in La Grande. He graduated in 1962. In 1965 he was in the Army in Vietnam

Bill worked for the University of Nevada in Reno for 12 years. He bought a fishing boat at Winchester Bay on the coast and sold the boat in 2002.

He is survived by his mother, two sisters, two stepdaughters, five stepsisters, one stepbrother and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, one stepbrother, a stepdaughter, uncles and aunts.
