Edna Irene Harvey

Edna Irene Harvey, age 99, of La Grande, died March 19, 2008 at home. A service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at the Eternal Hill Cemetery in Oceanside, California. Family and friends are encouraged to sign the guest book on-line at: www.danielsknopp.com.

Mrs. Harvey was born on October 18, 1908, the daughter of Allan and Daisy (Cox) Reeves in Springhill, Louisiana. She married Leonard Burr "Buck" Harvey and they lived in Gresham, Pendleton, Texas and in 1969 moved to Oceanside, California. She was active in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Oceanside and with the ladies organizations. The couple loved working in their yard and always kept them beautiful. Her husband preceded her in death on March 13, 1999. Three years ago she moved to La Grande.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol "Joyce" O'Connor of Carlsbad, California; daughter-in-law, Myrna Stertz of La Grande; grandchildren, Eric O'Connor, Dennis Harvey Jr., Rick Harvey, Darrin Harvey; numerous great and great great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons, Doyle Harvey and Dennis Harvey Sr. and granddaughter, Judy Aldrich.
