Earl Boswell, 87, of Shelton, Wash., and formerly of Elgin died Dec. 2. Burial was at Shelton Memorial Park.
Mr. Boswell was born Dec. 1, 1918, to Abraham Chester and Hulda Clifford Boswell in Elgin. He served in the Navy during World War II and ran his own radio station, playing music on his guitar. He worked as a mechanic at Hofert's Tree Farm and enjoyed panning for gold, hunting, fly fishing and being with his family.
On Feb. 14, 1980, he married Gloria Stowe in Shelton.
He was a member of the LDS Church, and was known as a kind-hearted man who always treated his kids as someone special.
Survivors include his wife of Shelton; children and their spouses, April and Lee Dean of Lakewood, Wash., Patty and Skip Hockman, Carla and Ron Inman, Jim and Cindy Showers, and Vernon Shaffer, all of Shelton; a sister-in-law, Lula Boswell of Shelton; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives.
