Dylan Mccall-Hickman

Dylan McCall-Hickman, infant son of Jessica McCall and Marcus Hickman of La Grande, died April 6 at the Ronald McDonald House in Portland. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. today at Loveland Funeral Chapel.

Dylan was born Feb. 25, 2008. In Dylan's short time, his family says he touched the hearts of many. In addition to his family, Dylan touched people all over the United States who prayed daily for him. But he was especially dear to those involved in his care at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, as well as those at the Ronald McDonald house. Dylan's physicians and caretakers were in constant awe of his contagious strength and sweet spirit.

Dylan is survived by his parents, Jessica McCall and Marcus Hickman, both of La Grande; grandparents, Rod and Stacy McCall of La Grande, Renee McCall and Dan McCoy of Stanfield and Phillip and Dorinda Hickman; seven great-grandparents including Audrey McCall of La Grande, Pam and Jim Clark, also of La Grande, Susan Calhoun of Kelso, Wash., and Sharon Calhoun of La Grande; great-great-grandmother, Opal Burford of Union; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dylan Hickman Medical Fund at Bank of America or Ronald McDonald House charities.
