Dwayne Wing

Dwayne Wing, 84, of La Grande, died March 11 at Mount Angel. A service was held this morning at Loveland Funeral Chapel.

Dwayne was born April 22, 1925, to Raymond and Ruth (Herron) Wing of Groton, S.D. He attended rural school in Brown County and graduated from Groton High School.

On Sept. 1, 1947, he married Eloise Berg of Verdon, S.D. They farmed in the Groton area until moving to La Grande in 1956 where he owned and operated La Grande Automotive. Later he worked in maintenance at Eastern Oregon University.

He is survived by his son, Lee, and his wife, Pam Wing, of La Grande; three grandchildren; and a sister, Carol and her husband, John Schuck, of Aberdeen, S.D. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
