Celebration of life for Dorothy Ann (Bradley) Evans will be held on Saturday April 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Riveria Activity Center 2609 N 2nd Street LaGrande.
Dorothy Ann Bradley was born on October 29, 1935 in Tribune, Kansas, youngest (baby sister) of seven children born to Asa Francis and Anna Pearl (Hansen) Bradley. Around 2 years of age the family relocated to the Northwest, Nampa then LaGrande. Dorothy attended Greenwood Elementary and graduated from the La Grande High School with the class of 1954. She married in 1955 and they lived in Twin Falls, Idaho area settling in Buhl to raise their three children. Ater the couple divorced Dorothy returned to LaGrande. Dorothy worked for Albertsons then Safeway in the receiving and inventory control department. She enjoyed working the grocery retail interacting with customers and fellow coworkers where she made lifelong friends retiring in 1999.
Dorothy's youthful day she enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, riding horses, playing softball and working the small family farm. She cherished most the laughter of love ones and friends gathered around her, creating magic in the kitchen, brainstorming projects, and the thrill of a new destination. Dorothy's creative talents were endless she's accomplished so much in the art and crafts world, painting, drawing, stained glass, origami, knitting, crocheting the list goes on. Dorothy passion was quilt making, even up to her final days, she heard of a new quilt shop was a must to check out. After hour of "oohing & aahing" she left with a new quilt project in hand. Dorothy legacy as a quilter extends far beyond her quilts, her warm heart and generous spirit led her to share her talents, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Shannon & (Gary) Pittser of Meacham, Craig Evans of Pendleton, Bradley & (Michelle) Evans of Richland; twelve grandkids, twenty-four great-grandkids, nine great-great-grandkids; brother & his spouse, Arthur & (Barabra) Bradley of Otter Rock and many loving nieces & nephews
Beside her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by siblings, Anita Bradley, Merle Bradley, Erma Hammons, Donald Bradley, Lois Moore; step grandson Michael Costner; daughter in law Terrie Evans and great-great-grandson Clyde Alexander (January 2025)
Dorothy passed away peacefully surrounded by family December 23, 2024 in LaGrande at the age of 89. We will miss her hugs, big smile and the twinkle in her eyes that always showed her joy and love.
