Dorla Jean Culver

Dorla Jean Culver, 72, of Eugene and formerly of La Grande died February 12, 2006. Burial will be at 2 pm Friday at the Summerville Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm at the New Life Center, 10700 Walton Road. Mrs. Culver was born April 13, 1933 to Arthur and Ada Sinclair Whiteman in La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School and married Larry Culver. She was a homemaker and lived in La Grande almost all her life. She enjoyed crafts, making clothes for her children, telling stories, fishing, hunting, picking mushrooms and huckleberries, a good practical joke and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include children, Lara Nicoson of Pleasant Hill, Michael Culver of La Grande and Donna Miller of Missouri; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; siblings, James, Edward and David Whiteman, Betty Kimball and Linda Rysdam, all of La Grande, and other relatives. Her husband and three sisters, Donna, Nancy and Jenny all died earlier. Memorials may be made to the New Life Center in La Grande.
